For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
For the Donuts:
- Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the apple cider. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool slightly in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack.
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
- In a shallow bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Dip each slightly cooled donut into melted butter, then coat in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
