Ingredients

  • 1 (750ml) bottle moonshine
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. In a large jar, combine the moonshine, sliced bananas, vanilla bean and seeds, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, and ginger.
  2. Seal the jar tightly and store in a cool, dark place for at least 24 hours, or up to 2 weeks for a more potent banana flavor.
  3. Strain the moonshine through cheesecloth or a fine-mesh sieve into a clean jar. Discard the solids.
  4. (Optional) For a creamier texture, add 1/2 cup heavy cream and 1/4 cup powdered sugar to the strained moonshine. Stir well to combine.
  5. Serve chilled or over ice.
